Hannah's Treasure Chest enhances the lives of children in need by providing clothing, furniture and toys.What We Do
While many families are fortunate enough to provide for their babies, toddlers and children, many parents struggle in raising their children with sufficient resources.Hannah's Treasure Chest responds to these needs by providing social service agencies in Montgomery, Butler, Greene and Warren Counties with clothing, furniture, toys, books and other essential items for their clients. The assistance from Hannah's Treasure Chest greatly enhances programs already provided to children in the Miami Valley.
How We Do It
Clients
Social service workers, family advocates, school counselors and church pastors refer clients to Hannah's Treasure Chest by completing a family needs and profile analysis. This referral includes a request for clothing, furniture, baby equipment and other items for their client.Hannah's Treasure Chest completes the request and enhances it with books, toys, videos and other applicable items for the child. This completed request is picked up by the social worker, family advocate, etc. and is delivered directly to the child in need.
In addition to daily request fulfillment, Hannah's Treasure Chest also runs the Start Off Right (SOR) and Beds for Babies programs benefitting infants 18 months and younger.
Item Donations
Hannah's Treasure Chest's inventory depends on donations from individuals, organizations and local businesses and corporations. We gladly accept and appreciate donations of baby, toddler and children's items from parents whose own children have grown out of them, provided they are in excellent condition. Your donations help to ensure the children in need of the Miami Valley are taken care of.Monetary Donations
94% of the of the proceeds goes to helping children in need. Our operating expenses allow us to clothe a child for a week for as little as $3.50!Hannah's Treasure Chest can now accept monetary donations online.
