Clean out your closets!
It's been an amazing week. The weather is changing and we are switching over the items in the warehouse from fall/winter to spring/summer. Our 6,000 square feet of warehouse space in Centerville provides a place for people to volunteer and donate their gently used items. It is also a place for our caseworkers, school counselors and nurses to find the basic goods their clients need to succeed in improving their lives. By recycling your baby and childrens goods you can help the needy to thrive in this failing economy while saving space in our local landfills.
I think we are all well aware of the economic downturn of not only our nation, but of our local community. We have friends, neighbors and even family being laid off from their jobs. It's a time for us all to pull together and help one another.
It's also spring and we are seeing the trees and flowers in bloom, the sun is shining (more now at least) and it's warming up. It's the perfect time to clean out those closets and drawers and recycle the clothing that is too small or the toys that aren't being played with.
As well, if you find yourself with a little bit of time, stop on by and lend a helping hand. With the needs increasing, we need your help now more than ever. We welcome volunteers and also run service projects all year long.
I am excited about the impact that we are having on the local community and the thousands of children we are assisting. Together we are helping families through these tough times. Together we are making a difference.
Hannah's Treasure Chest is open for donations and volunteers on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 10-4.
Do you have items other than childrens clothing, furniture and toys, ask us where to donate these things. We have a tremendous network on agencies that we work with to help benefit local families in need. You can also donate your household goods, artwork and collectibles to us and we will turn your items into treasure, as we work with a local auctioneer to help us raise funds. Our first auction lots brought in $700!!!

Thank you for your support.
