What an impact!

A summary of 2008
During the month of January we finalize all of our facts and figures for the previous year. We add up all of the items we have distributed, calculate the benefit to the community, count everything in the warehouse for inventory and close out the books for the previous year.

Here are some noteworthy facts from 2008 for Hannah’s Treasure Chest:

121,117 items were distributed by Hannah’s Treasure Chest into the local community with a value of $409,128. This is up from just 74,192 the previous year. Our slowest month was February in which 4,034 items were distributed. Our busiest month was October in which 15,959 items were distributed. The agency receiving the biggest benefit from us received over $57,000 worth of items for children in their programs.

Giving Angels was the biggest it has ever been with 10,100 items being distributed to approximately 1500 children, including gifts at parties around the Miami Valley. Including gift cards, which are given to provide a holiday dinner to the family, over $145,000 worth of goods was distributed during this program alone in 2008.

Of course, we couldn’t do it without our volunteers. Our top volunteer joined us for over 600 hours last year! Our top 8 volunteers put in a combined 2700 hours. Our volunteer base continues to grow and we are well over 30 regular volunteers now. We are truly one big family making a huge impact here in the Miami Valley.
