Hannah’s Treasure Chest, Giving Angels
Hannah’s Treasure Chest, Giving Angels is
a non-profit program that individuals, organizations,
groups and corporations participate in to provide gifts for
children and families in need during the holiday season.
This year, Jeff Whittle, Senior Vice President of Global
Solutions Development (GSD), Lexis Nexis,
members of his staff and other GSD employees sponsored a
family with a grandmother on disability raising all eight
of her grandchildren. The children range in ages from
7-16, and winter coats and shoes were a need for most of
the children.
Thanks to the generosity of GSD “Giving Angels,” gifts of
coats, clothing, toys, games, books and gift cards were
purchased for all of these children along with a microwave
for the grandmother. The children will receive their gifts
in time to open them on Christmas morning.
The gifts were picked up and delivered to Hannah’s
Centerville office by GSD employees using their Cares Days
to volunteer for Hannah’s Treasure Chest. Hannah's is a
100% volunteer organization where 100% of its budget
goes to children and families in need in the Miami Valley.
