Our Programs
Beds for Babies
Many of the families who receive care packages from us are unable to provide a safe bed for their infants and toddlers to sleep in. A family in crisis is usually working desperately to feed, clothe, shelter, and educate their children.
Our Beds for Babies program helps families by providing a safe crib, toddler bed (age 3 and under), and/or mattress for these infants and toddlers.
We accept donations of cribs, toddler beds, and mattresses that are in good condition. We are unable to accept drop-side cribs due to safety issues.
You can provide a crib for a child in need! Just $180 will provide a crib, mattress, sheets, and blankets for an infant or toddler.
Give now to help end bed need.
Brighter Smiles
Dental health has a great effect on the overall health and well-being of children. Poor dental health can even impact the academic performance of children. The goal of our Brighter Smiles program is to provide an age-appropriate dental kit in every care package prepared for children ages 2 years and older.
A dental kit consists of:
- Age-appropriate toothpaste
- Age-appropriate toothbrush
- Floss or flossers as appropriate
- Educational materials (if available)
With the generous support of donors and various grants, we provide over 300 dental kits per month to support the dental health of area children.
To assist us with our Brighter Smiles program, or if you are a local dentist interested in supporting this program, please call our office at 937-438-5039. We will answer any questions you may have about our Brighter Smiles program.
You can also choose to help right now! Make a financial gift today and you’ll be making a significant impact on the health of local children in need!
Books for Babies
Our Books for Babies program provides new board books for babies in their first year of life. Donations made to this program are used to purchase board books in bulk, and books are provided to encourage early literacy and caregiver bonding.
It’s never too early to read to a baby!
Handmade for Hannah’s
Handmade for Hannah’s welcomes area sewing groups and others with sewing experience to make baby items and sensory products for the children we serve. Items range from bibs and burp clothes to weighted blankets and loveys. This program is designed to match the needs of the children we serve with the incredible talents of volunteers all over our community.
Hannah’s Treasure Chest welcomes donations of baby-friendly flannel, terry cloth, microfleece, and 1″ wide or larger ribbon for this program. We also welcome new volunteers who like to sew and would like to make items for this program. Interested in becoming a volunteer with us? Check out our volunteer information!
